Grand Oaks
Grand Oaks neighborhood is located in South Austin, off Manchaca Road, William Cannon and Slaughter Lane; it is approximately 15 minutes from downtown Austin. This small subdivision was built in the early 2000’s by DR Horton Builder’s. It was created with a vintage appeal, front porches, large oak trees, neighborhood park, hiking trail, picnic tables and pavilion, playground and basketball courts. The neighborhood streets were designed with roundabouts for easy commuting; which also helps prevent traffic from cutting through the neighborhood.
Some of the area amenities are: Dittmar public swimming pool, the new Twin Oaks Library, South Park Meadows Shopping Center, grocery, stores, restaurants, and clothing stores are minutes away. There is also an Austin Community College campus a short drive from the neighborhood and a Capital Metro Bus stop located on Manchaca Road. (#3 Bus.)
