Circle C – History and Location

Circle C is located in Southwest Austin, with its main entrance at Slaughter Lane and Escarpment Boulevard just West of South MOPAC.  This established neighborhood is just 10 miles from downtown Austin, Texas – giving residents easy access to downtown attractions as well as to Lake Travis and the Texas Hill Country.  Construction began in the original part of Circle C in the late 1980’s and carried on into Circle C Ranch through 2011.

When it was first developed, Circle C was a relatively isolated subdivision on the South edge of Austin.  The city has rapidly grown outwards to envelop this expanding neighborhood, and retail centers and restaurants have sprung up in large numbers in the area to accommodate the needs of the growing population.

Circle C – Area Amenities

The community amenities at Circle C include an Olympic-sized swimming pool that is reserved for use by members of the Circle C Homeowner’s Association.  In addition to the community amenities, residents enjoy the Slaughter Creek Metropolitan Park, the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center and The Veloway.  Escarpment Village at the intersection of Slaughter Lane and Escarpment hosts a variety of retail shops and grocery stores.

Circle C – Schools

Homes in this area track to either Kiker, Clayton or Mills Elementary – all of which enjoy high ratings.  The middle schools available to residents are Gorzycki, Bailey and Small, and the area high school is Bowie.  The Southwest Austin Community College Campus is in close proximity to Circle C near the intersection of William Cannon and 290.
