Sunset Valley
Sunset Valley was founded in 1954 and is southwest of downtown Austin. The city has a country feel with most homes on larger lots with many shade trees. The homes vary in age and construction; many new homes have been built in the area within the last few years.
The sales tax rate is separate from Austin, but the schools are in the Austin Independent School District. There are many shops and restaurants close to the area along Brodie Lane. There is easy access to Mopac (Loop 1) and HWY 290 West.
