Edna Poncho looks like he is very happy! We have three rescue dogs at our home here in Bastrop. Got one from Austin Pets Alive, one from a private rescue in Bastrop, and one that was dumped on our street. Rescue dogs are the BEST!

If I were not allergic to dogs, I’d be classified as a “hoarder”. My precious “Rose” was my companion for 17 years. In those years, I missed 4 months of work each year due to allergies. If I were younger, I’d do it all over again. My “Rose” was my life!

When showing houses once, I met a tenant who was capturing all the stray cats in her neighborhood, taking them to Animal Trustees, getting them spayed/neutered for free and the releasing them. Thought it was such a great thing that she would do it and that Animal Trustees offers those services!

I heard today that if you adopt a pet at the Townlake animal shelter, they will throw in 4 tickets to see the Rockettes.

Austin is a very pet friendly city. We love to come in to town from Bastrop with our dogs to enjoy the parks and the dog friendly restaurants and bars. Great post Edna!
