Tarrytown is an upscale residential neighborhood located west of downtown Austin. The neighborhood is bordered by Lake Austin Boulevard on the south, Lake Austin on the west, and Loop 1 (Mopac Expressway) on the east. Part of the neighborhood appeal comes from the location, mere minutes from the heart of downtown Austin.
Tarrytown is a quiet and clean neighborhood surrounded by large shade trees, giving off the feel of a secluded, peaceful sanctuary from the nearby city. The neighborhood has several shopping outlets including Tarrytown Center and Casis Village, both of which feature local businesses.
