Hyde Park Community
This community is prized for beautiful tree-lined streets and the diversity of residents and buildings. In recent years Hyde Park has shown a sharp increase in the property values and the area has been revitalized.
There are many small, local shops and restaurants like the Hyde Park Bar and Grill serving their specialty of buttermilk-dipped fries and Mother’s Restaurant serving vegetarian fare; also large-scale shopping centers with a large HEB grocery store.

The area is very popular with the University of Texas faculty, graduate students and professionals. As Austin has grown the communities close proximity to the University of Texas and downtown Austin has become more attractive. The Elisabet Ney Museum is another area attraction and is on the annual neighborhood home tour.
