Travis Country

Travis Country Neighborhood

This was the first environmentally planned community in Austin; with construction beginning in 1973, many precautions were taken to reduce the risk of silt and building run-off from polluting Barton Creek or the watershed. The neighborhood remained unfinished until the early 1990’s when the last developable land was bought within Travis Country.
The new sections (built 1990+) include Lost Creek at Gaines Ranch, Village Park at Travis Country and Travis Country Green.
